DHSC says mental health support in schools now reaches up to 900,000 more children than a year earlier.

What you need: requirements depend on the role: professional registration for clinical posts, or a funded training programme for EMHP and CWP trainee posts. All roles need an enhanced DBS check with a children's barred list check.

Typical pay (NHS): EMHP and CWP trainees are commonly Band 4 and qualified practitioners Band 5. CAMHS practitioners are usually Band 6 or 7, with psychologists and senior clinicians at Band 7 to 8c.
