About the role

Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic,BABCPaccredited andexperienced CBT therapiststo join NHS Barnet Talking Therapies Serviceas a Senior CBT therapist. We are awell- establishedand highly regarded service with astrongtrack recordfor staff retention,developmentand wellbeing.The service is provided by theNorthLondon Foundation Trust. Wework closely with our partner Services inCamden, Enfieldand Islington.

You will be part of alarge teamof CBT Therapists, an Assistant Psychologist, PWPs, counsellors, trainees and administrators who are working to increaseaccess to treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other common mental health conditionsand making changes in line with national KPIs for Talking Therapies.The post holder will be supported by the Deputy Clinical Lead and Clinical Leadfor the serviceand have peer support from an experienced senior team.

You willbe responsible for clinical supervision and line-management of staff, also, to take on a lead role in an area of service developmentandcarry a small clinical caseload.

Applicants are advised that weoperate a hybrid working policy which means post holders are expected to come on site to our base (2-3 days a week)and combine this with remote working.

The post holder will also be expected to support senior management cover as required including evening clinics that run from 8.00 am- 8.00 pm.

  • To provide leadership, highly specialised clinical supervision and expert psychological assessment and treatment within an NHS Talking Therapies service specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) and Counselling.

  • To offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues

  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.

  • Toparticipatein and lead onservice relatedresearch and audit projects, servicedevelopmentand quality improvement initiatives.

  • To also work with the senior management team to deliver Talking Therapies key performance indicators.

  • Tobe responsible forline management and performance of staff supervised.

  • To support the management oftheday to dayoperations of the servicealongside other senior management team members.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that falls under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
