Priory Hospital Kemple View has an opportunity for a HCPC registered practitioner Psychologist to join our team.

Main duties of the job

  • Respond to referrals promptly, carrying out comprehensive assessments to understand each clients needs and develop an appropriate, person-centred therapy programme.
  • Deliver a range of relevant therapeutic interventions and activities designed to support and promote clients mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting interventions as needed to reflect each clients changing needs and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families and carers to ensure therapy is meaningful, effective and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
  • Regularly review and evaluate therapy programmes, ensuring that interventions remain appropriate and aligned with each clients individual therapy plan.

Priory Hospital Kemple View, Blackburn, Lancashire is a 90-bedded hospital providing level 2 rehabilitation and secure services for adult males with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station approximately a 3-minute drive away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
