We are genuinely delighted to be able to offer this unique role for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to work with patients under the care of the Renal Team at BTHFT

The post is based in the Clinical Health Psychology Department at BTHFT, who have specialised in working with patients with complex physical health difficulties for over 30 years.

Main duties of the job

Above all we are looking for applicants with enthusiasm for working in Clinical Health Psychology.

The clinical role is varied: in any week it may involve assessing a potential live kidney donor, seeing patients in Psychology Outpatients for therapy and consulting to the Renal team around a young adult who is refusing to start life-saving dialysis. It may also include providing some teaching to the Renal MDT, offering clinical supervision to a colleague and involvement in regional or national initiatives in Renal Psychosocial care.

The role will particularly suit applicants with solid psychological therapy skills, the ability to work effectively alongside MDT colleagues and a preparedness to work into different levels of the system in the interests of delivering high quality patient care.
