CAMHS jobs

148 jobs open on Mental Health Jobs.

Children and young people's mental health services are among the fastest-growing, and most stretched, parts of the system. Consultant vacancy rates in child and adolescent psychiatry were 16% in 2025 (Royal College of Psychiatrists). DHSC says mental health support in schools now reaches up to 900,000 more children than a year earlier.

Explore roles across community CAMHS, inpatient units, crisis and eating disorder teams, Mental Health Support Teams in schools, youth charities and digital services: CAMHS nurses and practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, family therapists, child and adolescent psychotherapists, Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) and support workers.

A CAMHS role in another profession is listed under that profession too: use the Setting filter for CAMHS to see them all.

What you need: requirements depend on the role: professional registration for clinical posts, or a funded training programme for EMHP and CWP trainee posts. All roles need an enhanced DBS check with a children's barred list check.

Typical pay (NHS): EMHP and CWP trainees are commonly Band 4 and qualified practitioners Band 5. CAMHS practitioners are usually Band 6 or 7, with psychologists and senior clinicians at Band 7 to 8c.
